LA could use one or the other. For future dealings.

This just seems odd to me. Isn't Ramo committed to the KHL until late March or early April?

Even if both guys clear waivers, there's already 2 guys down in Abbotsford. Where would Irving and Karlsson play?

This is why it is strange. I have a feeling Brust may get the call and Irving will play backup to Taylor for the Heat...and nothing more will be discussed until Ramo is ready to play.

But the (life has to be more interesting than that) side of me says Ramo might be ready to come over quicker than we thought. Heck, swap Ramo for Karlsson and lets get it done!

It's really interesting some of the players getting waived & trust the Islanders to be scooping a few. Personally, I dont think we will get mch of a looksey at Ramo this season. Thing is both Brust & Taylor have been awesome in Abbottsford & have playing a lot of games & are game shape. Maybe Hartley & Feaster are seeing way too much rust on these goalies (Irving & Karlsson) & dont trust what they will get when they need to gift Kipper a day off. I think Brust or Taylor are game ready & would make a way better backup this year.

Does anyone else think we should plick Connolly off of waivers, would that mean we pay 1/2 his salary & Toronto payoff like what happened with Hagman last year? I would take him over Gomez all day long at 2.375mill for this year.

that passed by him when karlsson came here in my opinion. Flames need to move on past leiland and neminsz.

If both cleared likely one of them or one of the two guys on the heat would be loaned to a team thin in net.

The smart move was to waive the lessor guy yesterday and be done with. Odds are both won't get picked up, but Garth Snow is out there trying to build a waiver fantasy team. No reason to take this big of a risk, unless you have a plan for another guy to come in right now.

He just hadnt taken advantage of his chances down in Abbey. The skills are there but the nfidence is at an all time low. The kid needs another chance with a different team.

Whose Prince? That rock singer? Just kidding, dont know too much about him. Talk to us in Feb, if this team craps the bed out of the gate, we have some intriguing players that could be sold off & if I were Flames Management, I would do it.

prince was a late 1st or early 2nd rd pick 2 years ago (sens had so many 1st and 2nd that year, can't remember who was taken where). solid prospect, playing well in binghampton. top six potential.

problem is that if sens don't address D needs soon, they might be sellers in feb too.

if i was calgary, i'm moving some of those guys for sure (j-bo, iggy, kipper). i think the window with those guys is closed. flames might make the playoffs, but only the biggest homer thinks they have a legit shot at the cup. i think with how many teams currently need D, the window to move j-bo for max return is right now. come deadline, a lot of teams who need D might be out of playoff hunt, and no longer willing to make a trade. i think there are more customers now, would have a better bidding war IMO.

The Sens are likely a team who poss doesnt make the playoffs. There for your 1st rounder could be a really really good pick.

TOR would have to recall him on waivers, I believe, in order for CGY to split the contract cost.

i think that if sens get j-bo, they are easily a playoff team. they're solid and deep up front, and have a buttload of depth in goal. only question is on D, and j-bo helps shore that up. plus, ottawa is one of few teams who can take him, and not have to send salary back.

and even if they miss, they're likely to JUST miss. so unless they win the draft lottery (possible, but VERY small chance) it'll likely be a mid-round 1st.

Yeah I don't want anything to do with Connolly. Again, as with the Gomez talk yesterday... I'd rather see Horak getting the ice time.

Ramo is coming next year...these guys are both a waste or resources. They need to drop a contract to sign another goalie to an NHL deal.

either or both gone will do

Flames just got a new coach and feel he will utilize Jbow's talents better

they are not trading him for a draft pick

I was going to say this in your last blog, but i got side tracked by homer Flames fans trying to rip on the Oilers... But I like your blogs, i think you do a great job of not being biased about the value of your players and state of your team.... I'd much rather have a blogger like you for the Oilers than that donkey Cloutier...
